Booker G. Worm

Oh, hi there...I'm Booker.  Well, my real name is William, and as you can see I love reading and that is how I got the nickname, Booker.  The G stands for Geoffrey, which is my middle name.  You can call me Booker.  I was named after a very famous human.  Can you guess?

The Bug Hollow Library is my favorite place to visit.   All of us Bug Scouts go there a lot but I go there the most.  If you click on the words, you will go to a picture of the library.

If you look on the Bug Island map, you will be able to find my street, Worm Way, on the northwest side of the island.  You are getting pretty good with the map by now, aren't you?  My house is actually outside of Bug Hollow and close to the forest.

During the big fire, our house got burned down and the bugs on the island helped us build a new one.  It is in an apple tree and is a really cool green apple that has been polished with beeswax and carved into a nice house for my family and I.  The termites helped a lot and so did the carpenter ants.  I don't have many of my toys and books, but bugs all over the valley have shared their things with us and that was really nice.

I live with my dad who is the principal at our school and I have a younger brother, Wiley, who is one of the funniest little bugs around.  He is a real joker and makes us laugh a lot.  We also have one of my cousins, Walter, living with us.  His parents and my mom passed away a few years back in an accident.  It is still hard for me to talk about it, but I am trying.

Since I like to read, I chose Knowledge as my character trait.  I think it is really important to always be learning, so I read a lot and I talk to other bugs about all kinds of things.  I learn a lot from the older bugs that live around here.  They know some really cool things that I have never heard of.  Then I can share what I learn with my buddies and my family.  When they have questions, they usually ask me.  They think I know everything, but I don't......yet.
